Success at our Fundraising Quiz Night!

It was a brilliant turn out for our quiz on Friday evening, supported by a number of our Trustees, staff and volunteers, as well as the general public!
Special thanks go to Tripti, our Huntingdon Office Manager, Emma, our Shop Manager and Mike, our Chairman for organising and hosting! The winning team was hosted by our newly appointed Trustee, Natalie!
We raised an amazing £253 from team entries and raffle tickets, with the winning team kindly donating their prize money back to the charity!
Thank you to everyone that attended, and to the team at The Montagu Club in Huntingdon for letting us use the space to host this event!
Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre AGM 2023 – 2024

On Thursday 27th June we held our AGM at Hemingford Abbots Village Hall again this year.
Natalie Leigh-Brown was voted in as a new Trustee. Natalie used to be our St Ives Office Manager. Since she left HVC in December 2019 she has decided to join our Board of Trustees! We welcome Natalie back to the team and we look forward to working together again!

Mayor of Huntingdon Visit to celebrate Volunteers Week
7th June 2024
Karl Brockett, the new Mayor of Huntingdon, paid a visit to the HVC Maple Centre office in Huntingdon, to take a look at the hard work that volunteers do in the community.
His visit coincided with National Volunteers Week, which has been celebrated annually on the first Monday in June for 40 years now.
The week aims to inspire people to take up a volunteering role in their local community.

Huntingdon Office Move
March 2024
Our Huntingdon office, previously based within our Princes Street Charity Shop, ‘Huntingdon Together’ has moved to The Maple Centre, 6 Oak Drive, Huntingdon, PE29 7HN, providing both the shop and Volunteer Centre with much needed additional space.
We have been warmly welcomed by the other organisations based in the building and look forward to building new relationships with them, as well as now having the space to expand on our own services.

Ramsey Office Move
February 2024
Our Ramsey Office can now be found in the new Town Council Offices, 11 Great Whyte, Ramsey, PE26 1HG
We are very lucky to have been offered a space within the new Town Council Building, providing us with a prominent position in the town and making us much more accessible not only to clients wishing to use our Community Car Scheme, but also to those wishing to find out more about volunteering in the area. We have settled in well and would welcome to to come in and see us in our new home!
Ramsey Town Council Official Opening of New Offices
We were very excited to be invited along to the official opening of the new Ramsey Town Council Offices on Thursday 1st February! The offices were officially opened by Dr Nik Johnson, Mayor of Cambridge and Peterborough. It was lovely to see so many local groups involved in the opening and a great opportunity to meet new people and catch up with some friendly faces too!
Christmas Parties Across HVC!!
Our Office Managers have been busy arranging Christmas parties for their amazing volunteers!

St Ives Free Church and Berkley Street Methodist Church in St Neots for allowing us to use their facilities, Costco for their donation towards the food and the beautiful cake, support from Cllr Catherine Goodman, Cllr Richard Slade, the generous donations from our clients and of course our volunteers for making HVC so special- we are truly thankful!
