Be a volunteer driver…..
Volunteer drivers make a huge difference to people who are unable to drive, cannot use public transport, or find it difficult to get around independently.
As our client base continues to grow, we are always looking for new volunteer drivers to join our team.
Using their own vehicles, our drivers help transport clients to essential appointments. Drives can be arranged to fit around your own schedule — whether that’s a local journey once a week, occasional longer trips, or regular drives to a variety of locations, there are many ways you can help.
There is no minimum commitment and no obligation to accept a drive. Even one journey a week could make a real difference to someone living nearby.
Volunteer drivers receive:
- 45p per mile mileage reimbursement
- Full office support and backup
- Access to additional (non-compulsory) training courses
- The rewarding feeling of giving something back to the community

Or Be a Car Scheme Administrator?
Our Car Scheme volunteer administrators are invaluable to the service, providing vital support to the Office Manager, volunteer drivers, and clients to help ensure we deliver the best possible service.
The role includes answering telephone enquiries, taking details of transport requests, contacting volunteer drivers, checking their availability, and booking journeys onto the system. Our administrators often build strong relationships with clients and provide a friendly, reassuring voice at the end of the phone.
This role is ideal for anyone looking to refresh their administrative skills, learn something new, or give something back to their local community.
Full training and ongoing support are provided.
