Mayor of Ramsey’s Civic Service Honors Local Heroes

We were very pleased to once again be invited to attend the Mayor of Ramsey’s Civic Service.

The Deputy Mayor, accompanied by Cllr Alex Bulat, represented the Mayor of Huntingdon, Cllr P Kadewere, at this special occasion. Also in attendance were the Deputy Lord Lieutenant, the High Sheriff and the Mayor’s Party.

A particular highlight of the service was the presentation of the Freedom of the Town to Mrs Pat Taylor, in recognition of her many years of dedicated service and volunteering within the Ramsey community.

The Mayor of Ramsey, Cllr Val Fendley, also presented certificates of recognition and thanks to members of Cambridgeshire Fire & Rescue Service for their outstanding work during this summer’s fires at Holme Fen.

The service also featured wonderful performances from St Thomas à Becket Church Choir & Ramsey Choral Society, as well as the Choir of Ramsey Junior School.

It was lovely to see so many familiar faces, including the Mayor of Wisbech, the Mayor of St Ives, the Vice Chair of Cambridgeshire County Council and many other civic representatives and guests.

A huge thank you to Ramsey Town Council for organising such a wonderful event, and to the Mayor of Ramsey for her kind invitation.

Congratulations to all those recognised for their service to the community. It was a privilege to join everyone in celebrating the people who give so much to Ramsey and the wider community.
