Huntingdonshire Volunteer and Community Fair 2026 Brings Local Organisations and Residents Together

The 2026 Huntingdonshire Volunteer and Community Fair took place on Saturday, 20 June at Huntingdon Methodist Church, providing local residents with an excellent opportunity to learn more about volunteering and community involvement across the area.

The free drop-in event ran from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and was organised in partnership with Support Cambridgeshire and the Huntingdonshire Volunteer Centre.

Held at Huntingdon Methodist Church on High Street in Huntingdon, the fair welcomed members of the public who were interested in discovering worthwhile causes, meeting local charities and community groups, learning how they could support their local community, and finding volunteer opportunities that matched their interests and skills.

Representatives from a wide range of organisations attended the event and were available throughout the morning to discuss their volunteer programmes and community activities. These included Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT), Woodgreen, Guide Dogs UK, and the Huntingdonshire Car Share Scheme, among many others.

Visitors were able to speak directly with organisations, ask questions about volunteering, and explore the many ways they could make a positive difference in their local communities.

A special thank you goes to volunteer Pat Jones for all her hard work in the kitchen throughout the event, helping to keep everyone fed and watered and ensuring a warm welcome for attendees and exhibitors alike.

The event highlighted the strength of community spirit across Huntingdonshire and showcased the many opportunities available for residents to get involved, support local causes, and make meaningful connections through volunteering.
