The Huntingdonshire Volunteer & Car Scheme was pleased to attend the 2026 St Ives Community Day, held on Saturday 16 May, where more than 1,000 visitors came together to celebrate community life across the area. The event marked the 23rd anniversary of the local Farmers Market and featured a wide range of community groups, entertainment, and activities throughout the town centre.

Our team joined many other local organisations to help raise awareness of the volunteer transport service and speak to residents about volunteering opportunities and the support available across Huntingdonshire. It was fantastic to meet so many local people and celebrate the strength of community spirit in the area.

A huge thank you goes to all organisers and volunteers involved in making the event such a success, especially Jane Jenner and the team behind St Ives Cares for their hard work in bringing the community together.
